Shibuya: Segafredo Zanetti Espresso (セガフレード・ザネッティ・エスプレッソ)
Summary: Great cafe if you want good quality coffee and to rest your legs after exploring the streets of Shibuya.
Segafredo Zanetti may not generate as much hype as other cafes around Shibuya (think The Roastery by Nozy Coffee, STREAMER COFFEE COMPANY, Bear Pond Espresso, etc.) but it is one of the places I drop by when I need a decent cappuccino and some quick bites.
Since the Segafredo brand is straight out of Italy, their espressos are have an Italian influence - strong aroma with underlying scents of flowers and dried fruits, topped with the perfectly foamy crema.
They have very strict standards for their coffee, and you can expect the same, high quality quality coffee 365 days of the year.
The interior is bright and professional-looking. While it's not one of those cafes you might visit to have idly chit chat over afternoon tea, its clean and no-nonsense interior is welcoming for working adults around the area.
I placed my order, picked up our drinks and head to the 2nd floor.
It has got three floors, with the 3rd floor being the smoking area.
I got the cappuccino, while the BF got a cafe latte. I am usually a flat white or cafe latte person, but only because most cafes can't make a proper cappuccino.
However, I feel very safe ordering one here because I know they always do it right.
I got their grilled mushroom and bacon panini - it was warm and filled with deliciously gooey cheese.
Overall, great place to have good Italian coffees, desserts and delicious warm sandwiches while avoiding the tweens at Shibuya.

My cappuccino was perfect - smooth, flavorful, aromatic perfect crema, strong but not too strong.
The coffee is a lighter roast than what is typical in most cafes.
After a short wait, the waiter brought my panini sandwich to our table.

I have also tried their focaccia - it was definitely one of the best I've had in a Tokyo cafe so far.
